Photography Assignments
These are some good examples of my work for different assignments at college, i've tried to show photographs in different styles, indoor, outdoor and in different types of light, i've also used a wide angled fish eye lens in two of the photos to show what a great effect it gives.
Examples of work
I am currently taking a two year BTEC course at Bristol college and will be starting a two year degree course in September, i studied at UWIC from 2001 to 2003 and have a degree in fine art painting and i've always had a great interest in photography, it's really good to be focusing on it and i've found out that there's so many different genres and styles to choose from, i'm hoping to build up experience and take it a lot further.
The way i work and what i seem to get drawn towards is when the photos seem to have a natural feel, if you're taking photos of people i prefer it if they're not in to much of a particular pose when you're shooting, in some ways i don't like it to be to controlled and i think this could possibly come from how iv'e worked with painting before.
I think i would be able to work in many different genres and i would be able to offer a series of photographs that could be taken in all kinds of different styles, i would really try to produce work that the client would be pleased with, i would be able to share ideas with them as well to help with different shoots.
I would work in many different environments, indoor, outdoor, music and sport events, to name only a few and it would be always interesting to shoot in different weather conditions, i'm also interested in documentary photography so i would be able to follow a group of people or a person, you're able to show how someone lives or how certain things have happened wether it be good or bad.
